War Is Upon Us
We are at war, and what most refuse to accept, is that the battle is spiritual. We are not fighting to save the flesh; we are fighting to save our ruach (spirit), neshamah of chay (breath of life) & leb (mind) that dwells within the flesh. When the Creator calls each of us home, the flesh will return back to the ground from which it came. One’s spirit, breath of life, and one’s mind (consciousness), will return back to the Creator for judgement. Scripture will reveal, in this study, the basic construct of mankind. I say “basic construct,” because this study will only cover the basics, as mankind is a complex, wonderfully made being.
Psa 139:14-17, “I give thanks to You, For I am awesomely and wondrously made! Wondrous are Your works, And my being knows it well.
15 My bones were not concealed from You, When I was shaped in a hidden place, Knit together in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed body. And in Your book all of them were written, The days they were formed, While none was among them.
17 And how precious are Your thoughts to me, O AL! How great has been the sum of them!”
Mankind was created in the image of the Almighty Creator. Mankind was then given the gift of life:
“And YHVH Alohim formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.” Here breath is correctly understood to be neshamah and being is nephesh” Gen 2:7.
Breath of Life = Neshamah Chay
Neshamah H5397: blast, breath, understanding, soul, spirit (not RUACH HaQadsosh but breath of the RUACH)
Chay = H2416: living, lively, active, alive, life
Being = H5315 Nephesh: living being, living person (sometimes translated into English as soul). Please note that this is a living being, a body that has the neshamah of life in its nostrils. A body w/o life is simply “basar.”
basar H1320: flesh, skin, body, “My soul longs, yea, even faints for the courts of YHVH: my heart and my basar (flesh) cries out for the living AL (H4210)” Psa 84:2.
So, mankind was formed from the clay or earth of the ground, and given the breath of life, the neshamah of chay. Mankind was also given a ruach, spirit. We receive that additional fact in Genesis 7:22 & Yob 27:3.
Gen 7:22, “All in whose nostrilsH639 was the breathH5397 H7307 of life,H2416; of all that was in the dry land, died.”
Breath here is again, neshamah (H5397) the breath that is to life. However, as we can see via its true Hebrew translation, there is actually an additional detail, right beside the neshamah (H5397), which is ruach (H7307).
Ruach H7307: Breath, wind, spirit
In Genesis 7:22 above, the neshamah and the ruach are side by side because, when it comes to human life, they are critically interconnected because our Creator also possesses neshamah and ruach. He gave those life forces from His very own nostrils to that of mankind.
2 Sam 22:16, “And the channels of the sea appeared, the foundations of the world were discovered, at the rebuking of YHVH, at the
blast H4480 H5397 of the breathH7307 of His nostrilsH639”
This should read in its proper translation, “…at the rebuking of YHVH, because of (4480) the neshamah (H5397) of the ruach (H7307) of His nostrils.”
Yob (Job) put it this way, “All the while my neshamah (breath) H5397 is in me, and the ruach (spirit)H7307 of AloahH433 is in my nostrils;” Yob 27:3. HalleluYAH! Also in chapter 32:8, Alihu, expressed this wisdom to Yob when he stated,
“But there is a ruach (spirit)H7307 in man: and the neshamahH5397 (breath) of the Almighty gives them understanding” Yob 32:8. So here again, we have the neshamah and ruach of the MOST HIGH working hand in hand within mankind to make his vessel live and reason. YAH’s ruach gives life and His neshamah of life (chay) gives one’s mind reasoning, understanding. So as each human being is born into this world, YAH’s Ruach (Spirit) creates and the Neshamah (breath/blast) gives Chay (life).
Ruach (spirit) creates > the Neshamah (breath) gives > Chay (Life):
“The Ruach (Spirit)H7307 of ALH410 has made me, and the neshamah (breath)H5397 of the Almighty,H7706 has given me chay (life).H2421” Yob 33:4.
When one dies, both the breath of life (neshamah of chay) and spirit (ruach) of mankind returns to his/her Creator & the vessel, that is the body, returns to the dust from which it was first formed via the creation of Adam,
“If He set His heart3820 (leb) upon man, if He gather unto Himself His ruach H7307 and His neshamah;H5397
15 All flesh shall perish together, and man shall turn again unto dust.” Yob 34:14-15.
One not having control over the ruach in and of one’s self, and the automatic render back to its Creator upon death is echoed in Ecclesiastes 8:8, “There is no man that has power over the ruach (spirit)H7307 to retain the ruach;H7307 neither has he power in the day of death: …”
Note also, as expressed in Gen 17:17, mankind has also been given a mind which is often translated poorly into English as heart, “Then Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart (leb H3820: mind, midst, conscience, will), Shall a child be born unto him that is an hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear?”
So, in addition to the Creator giving the body of mankind the neshamah of chay (breath of life) and a ruach (spirit), mankind is also given a leb (mind).
- Nephesh (5315) = living body, living being
- Neshamah of Chay = breath of life (breath of the RUACH/breath that is to life)
- Ruach (7307) = spirit, aka soul
- Leb (H3820) = mind, midst, will, conscience, (G2588 Kardia)
*Note: to clear up the difference between spirit aka soul and living being. If someone is being kept alive via life support and is in a vegetative, true brain dead state, his or her soul, spirit may have already left the basar (flesh). That person is no longer a living being. Once life support is removed, the heart stops pumping, lungs stop taking in oxygen and what is left is now seen for what it is, basar (flesh) without spirit nor mind (leb, consciousness), as it has left the basar (flesh, body, vessel). Without the spirit and neshamah of chay (breath of life), a vessel returns to the non functioning, non breathing, basar (body, dust of the earth) state.
I broke down the beautiful creation mankind is to express to you, that there is a battle for mankind’s spirit (life force given by YAH) & mind (conscience, will, aka heart, forehead). The Adversary wants to hijack the living bodies (nephesh) of mankind which embody the YAH given breath of life (neshamah of chay), spirit (rucah) & mind (leb), to be used to worship him & bring forth wicked fruit. With that backdrop given, let’s dive into Father’s Word.
Due to Adam and Hawa (Eve), mankind is in a fallen state, outside of the Garden of Eden (Gen 3). Father seeks to redeem mankind from that fallen state, back unto Himself (Rom 5:8-11, 1 Cor 15:20-22). Yet it is a battle, because due to breaking Father’s commandment and partaking of that which was forbidden, mankind now knows good and evil (Gen 3:22). Dwelling in flesh (the body/vessel), the spirit and mind of mankind tends to lean toward that which is evil:
Gen 6:5, “And YHVH saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his mind (leb) was only evil continually.”
John 3:19, “And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.” See also Ecc 8:11, 2 Tim 3:13, Eph 5:16-17.
Scripture, as well as looking at the current state of this world, reveals that there is only a remnant strong enough to break free of the matrix of evil, and receive Father’s RUACH (SPIRIT) of Truth.
John 14:17, “Even the Ruach (Spirit) of Truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it sees him not, neither knows him: but ye know him; for he dwells with you, and shall be in you.”
One must let the old man, the fallen man, die so Father’s Ruach of Truth can transform him/her, so one can show forth the image and works (fruit) from which one was formed. As such, the battle starts in one’s mind.
Lucas (Luke) 6:45, “A good man out of the good treasure of his mind (G2588 Kardia: mind, thoughts, feelings, middle, heart) brings forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his mind brings forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the mind his mouth speaks.”
This battle involves one process developed by the wisdom of our Heavenly Father, YAH ALMIGHTY.
The Process: Circumcision of the Mind & Gift of the RUACH HaQadosh (Set Apart/Pure SPIRIT)
“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind (G3563), that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of Alohim” Rom 12:2.
“Be ye also patient; stablish your minds (G2588): for the coming of the Adonai draws nigh” Yacob (James) 5:8.
Although there is but one process, The Father uses it for good, but the Adversary, he who mimics the Creator, uses that same process for evil.
Example of the Father using this process for good, Psa 7:9-10, “…for the righteous Alohim tries the minds (leb) and reins.
10 My defense is of Alohim, which saves the upright in mind (leb).”
Example of the Adversary using the process for evil, 2 Cor 4:3-4, “But if our Besorah (Gospel) be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
4 In whom the little mighty one of this world (John 14:30, Luke 4:6) has blinded the minds (G3540) of them which believe not, lest the light of the esteemed Besorah of Messiah, who is the image of Alohim, should shine unto them.” For a few other examples see Prov 17:3, Jerimiah 17:10 & Romans 10:10.
Example of the Father’s judgement to come on all according to their mindset and the works thereof,
Prov 24:12, “If thou says, Behold, we knew it not; does not He that ponders the mind (leb) consider it? and He that keeps thy nephesh (living body, soul), does not He know it? and shall not He render to every man according to his works?”
Now before you ponder and say, “Well, it’s not about works anymore.” What you should be saying is, “It’s not JUST about works.” I state that because your works, what you do and don’t do will also be judged. For reference consider, the vision of Yacob (James) written in Rev 20:13 which aligns with King Solomon’s words as just expressed via Proverbs 24:12. One must constantly guard one’s mind from the lies of false pastors and teachers.
“And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.”
So Scripture reveals that this process involves the harnessing of one’s living flesh (nephesh), spirit (ruach) and the actions thereof (works), via the mind (leb). That is done by transforming the mind of mankind and the giving of the gift of Father’s RUACH (SPIRIT):
Rom 8:5-9, “For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
7 Because the carnal mind is enmity (hostile) against Alohim: for it is not subject to the Torah of Alohim, neither indeed can be.
8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please Alohim.
9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of Alohim dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Messiah, he is none of his.”
The mind’s transformation can’t be done without refinement; a breaking down of everything one has been taught either written, verbally or visually by the world. Whether mankind likes it or not, this is accomplished by the “mini” trials of Yob (see Sirach 2:1-3, 2 Thess 1:4). If you aren’t familiar with all that Yob went through, make the time to read the Book of Yob. Just like Yob, we must be willing to lose everything and still hold onto our faith in our Mighty Creator, knowing that He will bring us through the furnace of affliction refined, not burnt, 1 Cor 10:13, “There has no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but Alohim is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.”
Even Yahshua Messiah went through YAH’s process, being tempted and tried, prior to his preaching repentance (see Matt 4). Other examples include but is not all inclusive of, Abraham, Yacob, Moshe, David, Aliyah, Dani’al and his companions, Yoseph the son of Yacob and Rachel, the apostles who were all put to a horrible death and never lost faith, also, Susana and Hadassah (aka Esther).
During this process, Father will bring one to the brink of a mental collapse. He does so to see if one will:
- Stay the course, leaning on and crying out to Him for redemption,
- Curse Him and turn to little mighty ones who offer immediate gifts and pleasures of this world or,
- Disassociate, stop believing because of a lack of understanding of the affliction and turn to what one believes to be an alternative reason for life (e.g. self worship, the worship of a loved one (spouse, child), science, the universe, etc.).
- Staying the course, leaning on and crying out to Him for redemption
Psa 31:9-14, “Have mercy upon me, O YHVH, for I am in trouble: mine eye is consumed with grief, yea, my soul and my belly.
10 For my life is spent with grief, and my years with sighing: my strength fails because of mine iniquity, and my bones are consumed.
11 I was a reproach among all mine enemies, but especially among my neighbours, and a fear to mine acquaintance: they that did see me without fled from me.
12 I am forgotten as a dead man out of mind: I am like a broken vessel.
13 For I have heard the slander of many: fear was on every side: while they took counsel together against me, they devised to take away my life.
14 But I trusted in thee, O YHVH: I said, Thou art my Alohim.”
“And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on My name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is My people: and they shall say, YHVH is my Alohim” Zech 13:9.
2. Turning to little mighty ones whom offer immediate gifts and world pleasures:
Jer 44:15-18, “Then all the men which knew that their wives had burned incense unto other gods, and all the women that stood by, a great multitude, even all the people that dwelt in the land of Egypt, in Pathros, answered Jeremiah, saying,
16 As for the word that thou have spoken unto us in the name of YHVH, we will not hearken unto thee.
17 But we will certainly do whatsoever thing goes forth out of our own mouth, to burn incense unto the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, as we have done, we, and our fathers, our kings, and our princes, in the cities of Yahudah (Judah), and in the streets of Yerushalem: for then had we plenty of victuals, and were well, and saw no evil.
18 But since we left off to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, we have wanted all things, and have been consumed by the sword and by the famine.”
3. Disassociate, stop believing because of a lack of understanding of the affliction
“And these have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution arise for the Word’s sake, immediately they are offended” Marcus (Mark) 4:17.
That is why many are called but only few are chosen. Most DO NOT make it through the process. They stumble and fall by the way side just as Yahshua Messiah expressed in his parable of the seed throughout the Book of Matthew, chapter 13 and Marcus chapter 4. For those who make it through the process, they obtain all the fruit of Father’s RUACH (e.g., Agapℇ, joy, shalom, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, humility, self control) along with the ruach of wisdom, knowledge, understanding, counsel, might, and fear of the MOST HIGH (Gal 5:22-23, Isa 11:2, 1 Cor 1:30, Eph 1:17, WOS 7:7). All which lead to function, purification, justification, salvation & eternal life.
Yacob (James) 1:2-3, “My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
3 Knowing this, that the trying of your emunah (faith) works patience.”
The word, “Temptations” above is Peirasmos(G3986): proving, trial
As I Stated previously, Satan, the ultimate Adversary & impersonator, knowing mankind has free will, uses Father’s refining process for evil to capture the minds and spirits of all those whom are half stepping or who right out reject the MOST HIGH and are not fit for Father’s Kingdom. Yet, the trials and tribulations Satan uses is cunning. Understand that the Father authorizes the faith test (Yob 2:4-7), as the Adversary can’t do anything without Father’s permission (Lucas 22:31-32). However, its up to us to pass the test(s) by avoiding all the traps and snares the Adversary throws at us (drugs, lust, peer pressure, arguments, greed, fame, pride, doubt, etc.). While one is going through all the trials and tribulations to test one’s faith, the Adversary comes in with pleasures and gifts in order to take a person off the right path (Matt 4:8-10 ).
There are many examples as I’ve already stated. However, I will use here, the perfect example of King David. In ignorance, many unlearnt use the example of King David to do wickedness. Yet, if one really studies the actions of King David, before and after his major transgression, one will discover that Father’s process refined him into pure gold.
Father anointed King David to rule over His nation in place of King Saul. King David got off to a good start and even avoided killing the former King Saul who refused to give up the kingship.
1 Sam 24:9-10, “And David said to Saul, Wherefore hear thou men’s words, saying, Behold, David seeks thy hurt?
10 Behold, this day thine eyes have seen how that YHVH had delivered thee to day into mine hand in the cave: and some bade me kill thee: but mine eye spared thee; and I said, I will not put forth mine hand against my master; for he is YHVH’s anointed.”
Some time after King Saul’s death, David was later officially granted kingship over the entire nation. He went into covenant with the MOST HIGH and initially walked upright before Him (1 Chron 17:11-14). Then, the testing & refinement process began.
1 Sam 16:13, “Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the Spirit of YHVH came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel rose up, and went to Ramah.”
Unfortunately, David shortly falls as Satan trips him up with the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh, and the pride of life (1 John 2:16). King David gets puffed up. He sets up one of his soldier’s, Uriah the Hittite, to be killed in battle so he can cover up his adulterous affair and illegitimate child he fathered with Uriah’s wife, Bethsheba.
2 Sam 12:9, “Wherefore has thou despised the commandment of YHVH, to do evil in his sight? thou has killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and has taken his wife to be thy wife, and has slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon.”
Next in the process we see that Repentance must be made & one must get back on the the straight & narrow path: David repents,
2 Sam 12:13, “And David said unto Nathan, I have sinned against YHVH. And Nathan said unto David, YHVH also has put away thy sin; thou shall not die.”
Exod 33:19, “…and will be favorable to whom I will be favorable, and will show compassion on whom I will show compassion.”
Although Father forgives initial sin, one will be punished for the committed sin, as it is part of the pass or fail refinement process that Father puts us all through.
Punishment for past sin implemented & Trails & Tribulations to test One’s mind (leb) & spirit (ruach) ensues: Yes, punishment is still rendered despite the forgiven sin. As David would see, despite being forgiven, sin has consequences. So, the question is, will one really maintain obedience and faith in the Father despite correction and the terrible trials and tribulations one must go through to be refined? Did King David endure Father’s correction as well as other trials and tribulations that came his way? Let’s find out.
David’s Punishments for Sins Committed
Punishment 1: The baby conceived in adulterous, murderous sin dies shortly after birth.
2 Sam 12:19, “But when David saw that his servants whispered, David perceived that the child was dead: therefore David said unto his servants, Is the child dead? And they said, He is dead.”
Did King David become angry at the MOST HIGH because he was punished via the death of his innocent baby due to his own sins? No, he passed the first test in the process by accepting one of his punishments. He goes on to father King Solomon. The process continues.
Tribulation: One of King David’s sons, Amnon, defiles (rapes) Tamar, one of David’s daughters.
2 Sam 13:14, “Howbeit he would not hearken unto her voice: but, being stronger than she, forced her, and lay with her.”
2 Sam 13:20, “And Absalom her brother said unto her, Has Amnon thy brother been with thee? but hold now thy peace, my sister: he is thy brother; regard not this thing. So Tamar remained desolate in her brother Absalom’s house.”
Absalom, another brother of Tamar, in-turn slays Amnon, the brother who defiled her. The brother who slayed Amnon for defiling his sister, is the famous pretty boy, Absalom; also a son of King David.
2 Sam 14:25 , “But in all Yashar’al (Yisrael) there was none to be so much praised as Absalom for his beauty: from the sole of his foot even to the crown of his head there was no blemish in him.”
Absalom slaying his brother Amnon for defiling their sister Tamar, 2 Sam 13:32, “And Yonadab, the son of Shimeah David’s brother, answered and said, Let not my master suppose that they have slain all the young men the king’s sons; for Amnon only is dead: for by the appointment of Absalom this has been determined from the day that he forced his sister Tamar.”
Note, the slaying of Amnon came because King David did not punish his son who defiled his daughter. He was angry but he did not act, even after two years!
2 Sam 13:21-22, “ But when king David heard of all these things, he was very wroth.
22 And Absalom spake unto his brother Amnon neither good nor bad: for Absalom hated Amnon, because he had forced his sister Tamar.”
Adversary Stumbling Block: One brother slaying the other came from a stumbling block of the Adversary set forth before David. Via the Torah, the offence of defilement, in this case, was punishable by death. This was not just defilement, this was incest (Lev 18:6-9)! Due to the king not following the Torah, Satan slips in with the spirits of anger and hatred, spirits those set apart unto the Father should not allow to fester within themselves (Psa 4:4, Eph 4:26-27). Absalom let these spirits fester and it resulted in Absalom taking matters into his own hands. The defilement, King David’s lack of action, and Absalom slaying his brother, causes a rift between father and son. This, for David, results in even more Trials and Tribulations.
Trial and Tribulations: King David’s son Absalom’s heart hardens against his father, although David’s heart was not hardened against his son.
2 Sam 13:38-39, “So Absalom fled, and went to Geshur, and was there three years.
39 And the soul of king David longed to go forth unto Absalom: for he was comforted concerning Amnon, seeing he was dead.”
King David’s trials kept coming as after fleeing, Absalom cunningly came back to the kingdom, then turned most of the nation against his father David.
2 Sam 15:6, “And on this manner did Absalom to all Yashar’al that came to the king for judgment: so Absalom stole the hearts (leb: minds) of the men of Yashar’al.” Verse 10, “But Absalom sent spies throughout all the tribes of Yashar’al, saying, As soon as ye hear the sound of the shophar, then ye shall say, Absalom reigns in Hebron.” Verses 13-14, “And there came a messenger to David, saying, The hearts of the men of Yashar’al are after Absalom.
14 And David said unto all his servants that were with him at Yerushalem, Arise, and let us flee; for we shall not else escape from Absalom: make speed to depart, lest he overtake us suddenly, and bring evil upon us, and smite the city with the edge of the sword.”
Test of Humility, Patience & Self Control:
2 Sam 16:5-9, “And when king David came to Bahurim, behold, thence came out a man of the family of the house of Saul, whose name was Shimei, the son of Gera: he came forth, and cursed still as he came.
6 And he cast stones at David, and at all the servants of king David: and all the people and all the mighty men were on his right hand and on his left.
7 And thus said Shimei when he cursed, Come out, come out, thou bloody man, and thou man of Belial (H1100 evil, wicked, unrighteous):
8 YHVH has returned upon thee all the blood of the house of Saul, in whose stead thou hast reigned; and YHVH has delivered the kingdom into the hand of Absalom thy son: and, behold, thou art taken in thy mischief, because thou art a bloody man.
9 Then said Abishai the son of Zeruiyah unto the king, Why should this dead dog curse my master the king? let me go over, I pray thee, and take off his head.”
David was vexed sore by one of King Saul’s descendants who cursed him before all the servants, family and staff that fled with him from his very own son. He even called the king evil. Yet, despite all the man’s cursing and name calling, David did not have the man slain. David showed patience, humility and self control, as he could have easily become enraged and had the man slain for showing total disrespect towards YAH’s anointed. In wisdom David instead states that, if this is how Father seeks to further afflict me, so be it. Perhaps by enduring this affliction He will in-turn show me favor,
Verses 10-12, “And the king said, What have I to do with you, ye sons of Zeruiyah? so let him curse, because YHVH has said unto him, Curse David. Who shall then say, Wherefore has thou done so?
11 And David said to Abishai, and to all his servants, Behold, my son, which came forth of my bowels, seeks my life: how much more now may this Benyamite do it? let him alone, and let him curse; for YHVH has bidden him.
12 It may be that YHVH will look on mine affliction, and that YHVH will requite me good for his cursing this day.” Test passed, process continues.
King David’s Ultimate Test Ensues:
David’s secondary wives, known as concubines (no bride price nor public covenant ceremony) are defiled in his absence. 2 Sam 16:21-22, “And Ahithophel said unto Absalom, Go in unto thy father’s concubines, which he has left to keep the house; and all Yashar’al shall hear that thou art abhorred of thy father: then shall the hands of all that are with thee be strong.
22 So they spread Absalom a tent upon the top of the house; and Absalom went in unto his father’s concubines in the sight of all Yashar’al.”
So we see that King David suffered the ultimate humiliation. One may think, “How in the world can the MOST HIGH allow such an atrocity to take place within His nation?” Yet, one must remember that our Creator is just. He forgave David years prior, but the murder he had committed against Uriah, and the adultery he committed with Bathsheba was recompensed ten fold, just as the Father had sentenced him.
2 Sam 12:10-12, “Now therefore the sword shall never depart from thine house; because thou has despised me, and has taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be thy wife.
11 Thus saith YHVH, Behold, I will raise up evil against thee out of thine own house, and I will take thy wives before thine eyes, and give them unto thy neighbour, and he shall lie with thy wives in the sight of this sun.
12 For thou did it secretly: but I will do this thing before all Yashar’al, and before the sun.”
The MOST HIGH YAH loves us yes, but He chastises those He loves. Further, what one sows, one will surely reap. Kings were clearly instructed by the MOST HIGH not to heap wives unto themselves,
Deut 17:17, “Neither shall he multiply wives to himself, that his heart turn not away: …”
David could have given up all hope, become enraged with the MOST HIGH for the ultimate humiliation of having the bulk of his kingship stripped from him, and many of his wives defiled by his own son before the entire nation. David not only handled the disgrace with tact, when his mighty army had to go to war with those of the nation that had defected with his son Absalom, he still chose favor for his son’s life to be spared.
2 Sam 18:5, “And the king commanded Yoab and Abishai and Ittai, saying, Deal gently for my sake with the young man, with Absalom. And all the people heard when the king gave all the captains charge concerning Absalom.”
David knew that although he was being punished and tested, the MOST HIGH would not suffer him to have his wicked son, sit and rule upon the throne as long as he, David, lived upright before the Creator. Further, despite David’s wishes for his son, Absalom was gravely disobedient and wicked towards not only his father David, but he who was anointed by the MOST HIGH YAH. Absalom would suffer the consequences for his unlawful offences against his earthly anointed father and his Heavenly Father, despite King David’s wishes. Let’s have a look:
The Law on Rebellion against one’s Parents: Deut 21:18, “If a man have a stubborn and rebellious son, which will not obey the voice of his father, or the voice of his mother, and that, when they have chastened him, will not hearken unto them: Verses 20-21, “And they shall say unto the elders of his city, This our son is stubborn and rebellious, he will not obey our voice; he is a glutton, and a drunkard.
21 And all the men of his city shall stone him with stones, that he die: so shall thou put evil away from among you; and all Yashar’al shall hear, and fear.”
The Law on Uncovering thy father’s nakedness: Lev 18:8, “The nakedness of thy father’s wife shall thou not uncover: it is thy father’s nakedness.”
Absalom is Sentenced for breaking the Law: 2 Sam 18:14-18, “Then said Yoab, I may not tarry thus with thee. And he took three darts in his hand, and thrust them through the heart of Absalom, while he was yet alive in the midst of the oak.
15 And ten young men that bare Yoab’s armor compassed about and smote Absalom, and slew him.
16 And Yoab blew the shophar, and the people returned from pursuing after Yashar’al: for Yoab held back the people.
17 And they took Absalom, and cast him into a great pit in the wood, and laid a very great heap of stones upon him: and all Yashar’al fled everyone to his tent.
18 Now Absalom in his lifetime had taken and reared up for himself a pillar, which is in the king’s dale: for he said, I have no son to keep my name in remembrance: and he called the pillar after his own name: and it is called unto this day, Absalom’s place.”
Dear reader, I want you to note here that, although King David was undergoing his tests, trials and tribulations, so was Absalom, and he failed miserably. He could have easily reconciled things with his father, the king. Instead he let Satan steal his mind (leb) and spirit (ruach). The Adversary filled him with extreme anger and hatred. Absalom’s name was also cut off, as he died without a male heir. Further, Satan utilized Absalom’s cunning and beauty to charm part of the nation away from their rightful anointed king. Don’t let the cunning of the Adversary charm you away from King Yahshua, YAH’s anointed King above all kings.
Now, although Absalom wanted David dead, David still loved his son and grieved deeply when he learned of his death. 2 Sam 18:33, “And the king was much moved, and went up to the chamber over the gate, and wept: and as he went, thus he said, O my son Absalom, my son, my son Absalom! If only I had died for thee, O Absalom, my son, my son!”
Having passed all those trials & tribulations, King David still slipped and made one more mistake; he performed a census on the nation that should not have taken place (2 Sam 24:1-17). However, the mercy David showed others from the time he returned from exile to Yerushalem, along with righting King Saul’s wrong toward the Gibeonites, returning Father’s Ark of the Covenant, etc., etc., shows that David was truly repentive for his former sins. The remainder of his years David consulted the MOST HIGH YAH in all things, less the census. The census incident should be a warning to us all that even though we are in covenant with the MOST HIGH, have been refined, have passed many trials and tribulations, the Adversary is always waiting for us to slip up. We must always be vigilant and guard our mind and spirit from his cunning, wicked traps.
1 Chron 21:1, “And Satan stood up against Yashar’al, and provoked (H5496 entice) David to number Yashar’al.” Verse 7, “And Alohim was displeased with this thing; therefore He smote Yashar’al.”
Let’s also take note that our actions to include sin can have a ripple effect on those we love. David’s actions not only hurt his soldier Uriah, they hurt;
*his wife Bethsheba
*his infant son who died
*his other sons Amnon and Absalom (both killed),
*his daughter Tamar (raped)
*10 of his secondary wives (raped by his own son), and
*70,000 people of YAH’s nation who were slain due to King David’s illegal census.
That’s a lot of fallout from the sin actions of just one man! Our forefather David’s example shows us that we must constantly stand in the whole armor of YAH and guard our minds.
Let’s recall Father’s overall “Refinement Process,” the Circumcision of the Mind and Giving of the RUACH:
- Stay the course, leaning on and crying out to Him for redemption, or
- Curse Him and turn to little mighty ones who offer immediate gifts and pleasures of this world, or
- Disassociate, stop believing because of a lack of understanding of the affliction and turn to what one believes to be an alternative reason for life (e.g. self worship, the worship of a loved one (spouse, child), science, the universe, etc.).
Reflecting on King David’s covenant with the MOST HIGH, then all his tests, trials and tribulations, did the king pass or fail? Despite King David’s former sins (adultery and death of Uriah), he repented; then stayed the course despite his heavy punishments, and the trials and tribulations that ensued. King David did not curse the MOST HIGH and turn to little mighty ones, nor disassociate himself with and stop believing in our Great Creator. We also know that King David was sealed with YAH’s RUACH HaQadosh as he showed the fruit thereof (agapℇ, joy, shalom, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, humility, self control).
King David maintained faith and came out refined, with a new mind (leb), constantly praising the MOST HIGH.
Psa 31:21-24, “Beruk (blessed) be YHVH: for He has shown me His marvelous kindness in a strong city.
22 For I said in my haste, I am cut off from before thine eyes: nevertheless thou heard the voice of my supplications when I cried unto thee.
23 O love YHVH, all ye His saints: for YHVH preserves the faithful, and plentifully rewards the proud doer.
24 Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your mind (lebab H3824 ), all ye that hope in YHVH.”
King David passed and was refined. How are you measuring up? Do you even realize you are being tested?
The Adversary has ramped up the utilization of YAH’s refinement process to break as many of the spirits (ruach) and minds (leb) of mankind as he can, into the dust! He is setting into motion mass unemployment due to A.I. & other purposeful agendas; civil discord within nations, horrific wars, purposeful food scarcity, “plandemics,” brainwave manipulation, and if needed he will invoke a worldwide project blue beam alien invasion and or fake rapture, so people believe they have been forgotten by the Creator. Void of faith, most people will believe all is lost, there is no hope (see my article, “Is There any Hope?“. The Adversary through his puppet children, will break mankind down to the brink of physical and spiritual exhaustion, in need and want of all things. When all this constant turmoil breaks down the psyche of mankind, via the chaos, loss of life, and hunger, the majority of mankind will not
1. stay the course, lean on and cry out to the MOST HIGH for redemption.
They will instead
2. Curse Him and turn to Satan (not knowing it is Satan) who will offer immediate gifts and pleasures of this world, or they will
3. Disassociate, stop believing because of a lack of understanding of the affliction and turn to what one believes to be an alternative reason for life (e.g. self worship, the worship of a loved one (spouse, child), science, the universe, etc.).
Those who elect option #2 or #3 will go into survival mode, doing anything to save one’s self, and or loved ones. A few, in their scholarly arrogance, will turn to the universe or science for answers and guidance. In the end, all whom are not connected to the Creator, will accept the false light that will arise, and worship the created, Satan himself, if only to receive a piece of bread and a sip of clean water.
Not being rooted in Father’s Truth, via mind and spirit manipulation, the Adversary replaces all the fruit of Father’s Spirit one should have with hatred, envy, sadness, anxiety, greed, lust, pride, arrogance, idolatry, self righteousness, anger, & alternate truth. All which lead to one’s dysfunction, destruction & eternal damnation. These characteristics are the total opposite of what Father seeks for His creation.
Rom 1:28-32, “And even as they did not like to retain Alohim in their knowledge, Alohim gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
30 Backbiters, haters of Alohim, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31 Without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
32 Who knowing the judgment of Alohim, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.”
Satan uses all kinds of tools to accomplish the reaping of one’s mind, body & spirit, to include word witchcraft in which those in power speak over people telling them that something they call artificial intelligence (A.I.) can assist them in mental & physical health, war, at home, at work, at school, and even assume responsibility for the Creator’s Word. When it comes to this mess, only fools rush in. Guard your mind (leb) and spirit because the Creator will not be mocked. We have been warned as follows:
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with Alohim, and the Word was Alohim.
2 He was in the beginning with Alohim” John 1:1-2.
A.I. is not Father’s Word, nor can it assume responsibility for it. Father gave charge of His Word to a select nation of those He created in His image, not an abomination created in Satan’s image
Psa 147:19-20, “He shows His Word unto Yacob, His statutes and His judgments unto Yashar’al.
20 He has not dealt so with any nation: and as for his judgments, they have not known them. Praise ye YHVH.”
“What advantage then has the Yahudim? or what profit is there of circumcision?
2 Much every way: chiefly, because that unto them committed the oracles (Words) of Alohim” Rom 3:1-2.
Make no mistake, all of mankind is being herded and their minds changed. One is either being transformed to the MOST HIGH via the Good Shepherd (John 10:11-16) or transcended to Satan:
Rom 12:3, “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of Alohim (Precept Eph 4:23-24).”
1 Keepha (Peter) 5:8-9, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom he may devour:
9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.”
If one chooses neither the MOST HIGH YAH nor Satan, by default, being void of Father’s Living Word and RUACH HaQadosh, one has chosen to transcend to Satan.
Rev 22:13-14-15, “Beruk (blessed) are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loves and makes a lie.”
It is time for all to make a choice; true light or false light; Truth or Alternate Truth, The Creator or the created. In the words of apostle Keepha (Peter),
“Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
6 And to knowledge temperance (self control); and to temperance patience; and to patience purity;
7 And to purity brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness love.
8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Adonai Yahshua Messiah.
9 But he that lacks these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and has forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.
10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall (G4417 sin, fail, stumble):
11 For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Adonai and Savior Yahshua Messiah” 2 Peter 1:4-11.
Like apostle Keepha stated, choose wisely and make your election sure. If one elects, that is, chooses the MOST HIGH, and walks accordingly, one will not stumble, repeatedly sin and fail.
I will leave you with one final token of wisdom and it’s a gem far above rubies. So please focus intently. As the process begins in one’s mind, those who fear and reverence the MOST HIGH with sincere faith, love and humility, will obtain Father’s wisdom. It is only the wise, those called and chosen, who make it into the Secret Place. Father’s Secret Place is where one is sheltered from the darkness and temptations coming upon those of this world. That Secret Place is the new and living way, within, not without the veil.
Here is wisdom & the Adversary knows this right well, which is why he so cunningly hunts and corrupts one’s mind (1 Pet 5:8):
One enters within the veil spiritually, via one’s mind!
Eph 4:22-27, “That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
24 And that ye put on the new man, which after Alohim is created in righteousness and true set apartness (purity).
25 Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man Truth with his neighbor: for we are members one of another.
26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:
27 Neither give place to the devil.”
Hebrews 6:16-20, “For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all strife.
17 Wherein Alohim, willing more abundantly to show unto the heirs of promise the immutability of His counsel, confirmed it by an oath:
18 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for Alohim to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:
19 Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul (G5590 psuche), both sure and steadfast, and which enters into that within the veil;
20 Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Yahshua, made an High Priest for ever after the order of Melkizedek (Melchisedec).”
In verse 19 above the word Psuche/Psyche (G5590 so-khay) = life, soul, mind, heart
For those called and chosen, Father has given us an anchor for our mind, our life, which is obtained by following Yahshua Messiah, not without, but within the veil!
On the flip side of things, the Adversary has his own plans for those not marked for the Father. Satan is taking cheap shots because he is an imposter and looser. He knows he cannot win souls head to head on a level playing field with the MOST HIGH. So Satan also comes at one via defiled food, water, air, jabs, medicines, cosmetics, etc. Things to which one has never given consent to be exposed. He takes cheap shots to cunningly manipulate one’s genetics and defile one before the Creator. Yet, those of us who know that we are NOT validated by the Old Covenant but by the New Covenant, by which we are covered via King Yahshua Messiah’s righteousness and purity, we can breathe in shalom, as we are safe from the slippery tricks of HaSatan. That’s the Father’s Checkmate for all believers and doers of His Living Word.
Now, don’t get me wrong. I’m not stating that one needs to dump the Old Covenant Torah. YAH forbid! What I’m stating, is via YAH’s Living Word, one is not validated by the Old Covenant Torah. If one places him/herself under the Old Covenant Torah for validation before the Father, that person will never make it into His Kingdom. Why? The Father does not communicate with nor touch that which is constantly unclean and defiled. Defiled by every stumbling block Satan has thrown and continues to throw out before mankind. With all the filth in and on everything, how can one say one is validated before the Creator? No matter what one does, one will find him or herself defiled and highly unworthy.
I don’t care how kosher or halal you think your food is, it’s defiled! Growing your own crops? The air that falls on your land and the water you are using is defiled. Take an Uber, taxi, bus, plane etc., if a woman in her flowers has sat there, you’re defiled. Lean against your house or apartment pig glycerin laced paint, you are defiled! Got some unknown glycerin in your cosmetics, more than likely its swine, defiled! Eating clean not unclean meats? Well, more than likely it’s been subjected to hormones, synthetic antibiotics, and even if it hasn’t, it more than likely was not handled and slaughtered properly, thus it is defiled!
One is not keeping the Torah of the Old Covenant. So if one places oneself under the Old Covenant Torah for validation, one is not covered by the refuge we have in Yahshua Messiah. There is no, “Father knows my heart and He knows that I’m keeping the Old Covenant Torah to the best of my ability.” Really? Show me in His Word, where it is written that one can perform the Torah of the Old Covenant to the best of one’s ability and that is acceptable to the Father. You can’t because His Word is finite.
“And YHVH commanded us TO DO ALL these statutes, to fear YHVH our Alohim, for our good always, that He might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.
25 And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe TO DO ALL these commandments before YHVH our Alohim, as He has commanded us.” Deut 6:24-25
Father knows that He has given you the New Covenant, cut in the very blood of His Living Word and His RUACH HaQadosh to defeat the Adversary (Lucas 22:19-20 ). If you refuse all those critical elements, you have no one to blame but yourself.
Yet, one cannot get where one needs to be if one cuts off one’s roots. Those roots are the Old Covenant and its Torah. Case in point, how can I send someone straight to high school if that person has never attended elementary and middle school? For this reason, most people cannot live out the New Covenant, because they do not understand it. They’ve skipped elementary and middle school within the Old Covenant. Now they sit day after day, in New Covenant High School and wonder why they keep failing all the tests. They have skipped the milk!
“Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts” Isa 28:9.
Further, as relayed via Hebrews 5:13, “For every one that uses milk is unskillful in the Word of righteousness: for he is a babe.”
Yet, one must first start with the milk, “Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings, 2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the Word, that ye may grow thereby” 1 Keepha 2:1-2.
One cannot put away malice, guile etc., until one is taught what malice, guile, evil, etc., is; that is the role of the Old Covenant Torah. It is our roots, our foundation of learning. Completely tossing away the Old Covenant Torah learning is why most of the “New Covenant” only folk are living in sin, thinking they are covered by grace. Grace is not covering them. She is laughing at them.
So please note, that Father’s Word is one Book, not two. One must actually first drink the sincere milk of the Old Covenant Torah. Study and learn from it, then rise above it to the perfection found in Father’s RUACH, His New Covenant and its Torah. I’m not stating to purposefully go out and eat or touch that which you know to be unclean. What I’m expressing is that, if your mind, your life, has its anchor within the veil with Yahshua Messiah, you don’t need to get upset and stop believing just because you are unable to control the air you breathe, the water you drink, the paint on your walls, etc. Via the New Covenant, those things do not validate you before the Creator. If you are predestined, marked for and sealed by the Father, you’re covered. Don’t let Satan, the Adversary of all adversaries, manipulate your mind into thinking that you have no hope or that you are so defiled you can’t be delivered. That’s the lie the Adversary wants you to believe. For this very reason, King David stated,
“For thou desire not sacrifice; else would I give it: thou delight not in burnt offering. 17 The sacrifices of Alohim are a broken ruach (spirit): a broken and a contrite mind (leb), O Alohim, thou will not despise” Psa 51:17.
So, shake it off! Bring your broken ruach (spirit) and contrite leb (mind) before the Father and ask Him to purify you, seal you with His Set Apart SPIRIT, transform your mind and bring you within the veil via His Living Word. Anchor your soul in the MOST HIGH via His Living Word, His Son, Yahshua Messiah. You, with the help of our Great Creator, must be committed to transforming your mind to that of Yahshua Messiah. It is your only hope in defeating the Adversary that is coming for your Mind, Body & Spirit!
Having said all of that, most will not heed this sound advice and Satan, he who does not play fair, will shortly entrap within the Internet, the minds of those who have rejected and refuse to obey Father’s Truth (His Word). Let’s me break this down.
The Internet = inter-net also known as “the worldwide web”
Notice that the creators of the internet wickedly used, internet and not enternet.
Enter = go into, arrive, insert, submit
Inter = to bury, entomb, lay to rest in the ground!
Now you are fully aware that you indeed have a choice to make; 1. “enter within the veil” where there is an anchor for your mind (soul), or 2. go into the “Inter-net” where your mind (soul) will be entombed & marked for eternal damnation.
“Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the Truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this cause Alohim shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the Truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness”
2 Thess 2:9-12.
So while there is still time, run to our Beloved Creator and enter within the veil, wherein there is the only anchor for your soul, that is, your mind. Yet, just as the high priest of the Old Covenant could not go within the veil without first being purified; via the New Covenant, one cannot go within the veil without first being purified and escorted by the High Priest above all priests;
Lev 16:1-14, “And YHVH spake unto Moshe (Moses) after the death of the two sons of Aaron, when they offered before YHVH, and died;
2 And YHVH said unto Moshe, Speak unto Aaron thy brother, that he come not at all times into the qadosh (pure, set apart) place within the vail before the mercy seat, which is upon the ark; that he die not: for I will appear in the cloud upon the mercy seat.
3 Thus shall Aaron come into the qadosh place: with a young bullock for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering.
4 He shall put on the qadosh linen coat, and he shall have the linen breeches upon his flesh, and shall be girded with a linen girdle, and with the linen mitre shall he be attired: these are qadosh garments; therefore shall he wash his flesh in water, and so put them on.
5 And he shall take of the congregation of the children of Yashar’al two kids of the goats for a sin offering, and one ram for a burnt offering.
6 And Aaron shall offer his bullock of the sin offering, which is for himself, and make an atonement for himself, and for his house.
7 And he shall take the two goats, and present them before YHVH at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
8 And Aaron shall cast lots upon the two goats; one lot for YHVH, and the other lot for the scapegoat.
9 And Aaron shall bring the goat upon which YHVH’s lot fell, and offer Him for a sin offering.
10 But the goat, on which the lot fell to be the scapegoat, shall be presented alive before YHVH, to make an atonement with him, and to let him go for a scapegoat into the wilderness.
11 And Aaron shall bring the bullock of the sin offering, which is for himself, and shall make an atonement for himself, and for his house, and shall kill the bullock of the sin offering which is for himself:
12 And he shall take a censer full of burning coals of fire from off the altar before YHVH, and his hands full of sweet incense beaten small, and bring it within the vail:
13 And he shall put the incense upon the fire before YHVH, that the cloud of the incense may cover the mercy seat that is upon the testimony, that he die not:
14 And he shall take of the blood of the bullock, and sprinkle it with his finger upon the mercy seat eastward; and before the mercy seat shall he sprinkle of the blood with his finger seven times.”
Heb 10:19-22, “Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the purest by the blood of Yahshua,
20 By a new and living way, which he has consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;
21 And having an High Priest over the house of Alohim;
22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.”
Our spiritual ark, our Hidden Place (Secret Place) is within the veil with our King. He does the soul and the body good. So welcome Father’s refinement process. Then maintain faith and hang onto Him for dear life. Be unshakeable because the Adversary is seeking and claiming souls by any means necessary. Don’t let one of those souls be yours.
Remember, mankind was created in Father’s image (Gen 2:7), this includes His neshamah of chay (breath of life) and Ruach (spirit). Robots fitted with AI do not have Father’s neshamah of chay in its nostrils nor YAH’s Ruach within its body. To merge oneself with this “imitation of life,” is an abomination that defiles the Temple of YAH that mankind is to be.
1 Cor 6:19-20, “What? know ye not that your body is the Temple of the RUACH HaQadosh which is in you, which ye have of Alohim, and ye are not your own?”
20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore honor Alohim in your body, and in your ruach (spirit), which are Alohim‘s.”
Take heed least you fall, as the main physical and spiritual temple Satan seeks to hijack, showing that he is the MOST HIGH, is you! “Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
4 Who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called Alohim, or that is worshipped; so that he as Alohim sits in the Temple of Alohim, showing himself that he is Alohim” 2 Thess 2:3-4.
Satan seeks to mimic the Creator by conquering your mind and spirit, thereby sitting inside the Temple of Alohim, whose Temple you are. Resist him with all your YAH given body, mind, spirit, and YAH given Power, and he will flee from you.
In the Words of King Yahshua Messiah, “…I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.
19 Behold, I give unto you Power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the Power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
